About Notification Canada
Notification Canada is an independent, bilingual resource that helps Canadians understand two of the biggest numbers in a home purchase — your monthly mortgage payment and your land transfer tax — clearly and province by province, in English and French.
Independent, with nothing to sell
We are not a bank, a broker, or a lender, and we are not affiliated with any. There are no lead-capture forms and no sales calls — just plain-language explanations and calculators that are free to use. The goal is simple: help you understand the numbers before you sign anything.
How we source our numbers
Every rate, tax rate, threshold, and rebate on this site is checked against official federal and provincial sources — the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, the Bank of Canada, and each province’s ministry of finance or revenue agency. Each guide lists the specific sources it relies on, and the data is reviewed on a set date shown across the site (most recently June 24, 2026).
Estimates, not advice
The calculators produce good-faith estimates for general information only. They are not financial, mortgage, tax, or legal advice, and rates and rules change over time. Always confirm the current numbers with your lender, mortgage broker, or a licensed professional before you commit.
How the site stays free
Notification Canada is supported by clearly-labelled advertising, which covers the cost of keeping the calculators free and the content current. Advertising never changes the numbers we show or which options we explain — the math and the guidance come first, always.
