Notification Canada is a free, informational website offering Canadian mortgage and land-transfer-tax calculators. This policy explains, in plain language, what happens to your information when you visit — and what doesn’t.
Information we collect
We do not collect personal information. The site has no accounts, no sign-up forms, no newsletter, and no analytics that identify you. The calculators run entirely in your browser — the figures you type stay on your device and are never sent to us or stored.
Cookies and advertising
This site may carry advertising, and advertising cookies are off by default. The first time you visit, a banner asks whether you consent to advertising cookies. Until you chooseAccept, we instruct Google (through its Consent Mode) not to use advertising or analytics cookies, so no ad profiling takes place. The site and all calculators work fully either way.
If you Accept, third-party vendors — including Google — may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. If you Refuse, ads may still appear but are served without those cookies. Your choice is stored only in your own browser (in localStorage) and is remembered on future visits — it is never sent to us.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the “Cookie preferences”link in the site footer, which reopens the consent banner. You can also opt out of personalized advertising directly through Google Ad Settings, aboutads.info, or youradchoices.ca. Ads on this site are clearly labelled and kept separate from our content.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare may process standard technical request data (such as IP address, browser type, and timestamp) to deliver pages and protect against abuse. This data is not used by us to identify you.
Your rights
Under Canada’s PIPEDA and Quebec’s Law 25, you have the right to access, correct, or ask us to delete any personal information we hold about you, and to withdraw consent. Because we don’t collect personal information, there is normally nothing to access or delete — but if you have a question or request, contact us and we’ll respond.
Children
This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children.

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The “last updated” date above always reflects the current version.
