These terms apply to everyone who uses Notification Canada. They are written in plain language on purpose — the short version is that the calculators produce estimates to help you understand your numbers, and they are not a substitute for advice from a professional who knows your situation.

Estimates, not advice

Everything on this site is provided for general information only. The calculators produce good-faith estimates based on the figures you enter and the rules published by federal and provincial authorities. They are not financial, mortgage, tax, or legal advice, they do not constitute an offer of credit, and they cannot tell you what a lender will actually approve or what rate you will be offered. Always confirm your numbers with your lender, a licensed mortgage broker, or a lawyer or notary before you commit to anything.

Where our figures come from

Rates, thresholds, rebates, and tax rules are checked against official federal and provincial sources, and each guide lists the sources it relies on. The data carries a review date shown across the site (most recently July 4, 2026). Rules change, sometimes with little notice, and there may be a gap between a change taking effect and our pages reflecting it.

Using the calculators

The calculators run entirely in your browser. You may use them freely for your own personal or professional purposes. Please do not scrape, republish, or redistribute the content wholesale, or present our figures as your own without attribution.

No warranty

The site is provided “as is”. While we work hard to keep it accurate and current, we make no guarantee that every figure is free of error or fully up to date, and we accept no liability for any loss arising from decisions made in reliance on it. You remain responsible for verifying any number that matters to your decision.

Links to other sites

We link to government pages, lenders, and other third parties so you can check figures at the source. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices.

Advertising

The site might carry clearly-labelled advertising in future, to keep the calculators free to use. None is running yet. Advertising never influences the figures we publish or the options we explain. How advertising and cookies are handled is described in our privacy policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site develops. The version published here is always the one that applies.
